Acer AspireRevo AR3610-U9022 Mini Desktop (Nettop) Review

The Acer AspireRevo AR3610-U9022 is the new follow-up model of the very successful Acer AspireRevo AR1600 nettop. It sports several upgrades in specs and features. For starter, the newer model comes with an Intel Atom N330 (1.6Ghz) processor. It also comes with 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard drive.

The Acer AspireRevo AR3610-U9022 also has a memory card reader, a NVIDIA ION graphics card, 6 USB ports and a HDMI port. The specs are still geared towards HD entertainment. When hooked up to a HDTV, this nettop will serve as a great HD entertainment unit. It can be linked to your home wireless network or be connected to the internet though its 802.11b/g/n/ wireless connectivity.

Another upgrade on the Acer AspireRevo AR3610-U9022 is that it no comes with a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. This greatly reduces the footprint of this already compact desktop system. It maintains its slim profile, measuring at 1.2 x 7.1 x 7.1 inches in dimensions. In terms of design, some changes have also been made to the design of the stand. Instead of a picture-frame style frame, this new model is tilted at angle on the stand.

This gives easier access to the ports and connectors. Overall, it still maintains a very compact, stylish and sleek look. Due to the upgrades in specs and hardware, the new model is a little more expensive than its predecessor. At the time of writing, this little nettop model is price at around $329 per unit.
